Subject: [Leica] Nathan's PAD 17/10/2016: El Castell de Guadalest

Guadalest is a small town in the mountains north-west of Benidorm. It has 
been the site of a fortress since Moorish times. In more recent times, since 
the 1500s, it was the property of the Ordu?a family and since 1974 the house 
has been a museum. It is surrounded by narrow streets, today filled with 
shops and restaurants and other ways to separate the many tourists from 
their money. It is a popular day trip destination for tourists needing a 
break from the boredom of the beach in Benidorm and other Costa Blanca 
locations. But that tackiness does not make the buildings and the landscape 
any less beautiful.

As you climb up the steps to the top of the castle, this is the view of the 
emblematic ruined tower on top of a rock:
