Subject: [Leica] [IMG] PESO - MC Rokkor etc with thanks to Steve Barbour and others

A few days ago I posted a comment about wanting to use my f1.4 MC Rokkor
(Minolta SRT-101) lens with my Ms. Steve and others pointed me to the
Fotodiox
MC/MD to M adapter...So I got one!

For a joke (well may be not too much of a joke) I strapped it on to my Fuji
X-Pro1 and this is the result:

f1.4 MC Rokkor + Fotodiox MC to M converter plus Fuji M to Fuji mount on the
X-Pro1.
Exposure about 1/55th at f2.8 (the metadata shows 1/55 at F1.0 - but it
ain't so).

Detail rendition is quite good on this eclectic shot with a smooth picture
frame
(containing a picture of Stirling Moss in a DBR3); the ornately carved
capital
of a 19th(?)C Indian pillar, now inverted and re-modelled as a candle
holder!; a
bunch of empty 12-bore cartridges (don't ask); the broken base of a Roman
1st(?)C pot from Austria; a late 20thC marquetry clock and finally at the
extreme right the edge of a model Jaguar XK120. The point is that it renders
the
varying textures and detail well; remarkably so given that its on a modern
digital camera! oh, and there's bokeh out the window!

:-)

Many thanks Steve and all the others who suggested it.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Peter Dzwig
