We just had one of the few flying B-17 bombers, "Aluminum Overcast" at our Museum of Flight last weekend. Unfortnately, while I was there it was busy taking passengers on flights (for $475.00 a person) and where it staged and fueled was at the other end of the field from the museum so I couldn't get close to it. But boy, you could feel the engines as it rumbled down the runway on takeoff!
