4x5 can't do this. Nor could the Canon Tilt Shift. A single plane of
in-focus image is too limiting.
The real issue with the shot was not whether the image was worth it
(probably not), but whether I could do it at all.
The next breakthrough in DOF will be when Sony has an app that does the
image acquisition automatically and so fast with it's electronic shutter
(no physical movement of the shutter at all) that there will be no
significant movement of camera or scene (from wind). Then Helicon will be
able to piece the stack together? automatically.
