Did anybody go up to them and query them as to what they wanted? The right to own slaves, chain them, whip them, and worse? What part of land of the free do they not comprehend? Parts of the USA are indeed odd. Douglas In Ireland where we're about to have a general election in which water charges will be a big issue. The last couple of years have been filled with demonstrations of groups of people outside government buildings chanting in protest against the installation of water meters. Whenever I see them I tend to go up to them and congratulate them on their efforts, adding that I don't see why I should have to pay for filling my swimming pool, washing my fleet of cars, and that water meters and charges are indeed a bad thing. Their nonplussed faces say it all. Mind you in SC they can carry guns too so maybe a similar approach might be dangerous PPS I don't have a swimming pool and only own two cars :-)
