( or whatever it was called). It was due to a problem with my video driver.... and specifically, with hardware acceleration command in LR.... Once I turned that OFF, the thing behaved. I have a ATI ( now called AMD) Radeon 5750 video card. I tried the most recent drivers, and that did not fix the problem When I Googled the card, LR, and Crash, I found the problem was not specific to me... the driver does not work right with the SW... and as much as people have complained to AMD, it seems like they do not want to fix it....My issue was NOT an Adobe problem. I was the Video Chip Marketing Manager at WD/Paradise. We got complaints all the time, and we fixed all the problems. That was a few years ago ( about a year before they closed the video division). We were still fixing problems with the drivers for non-Windows OS.... (DOS!). Fixing problems with drivers is a pain, but it is what customers expect. At this point, if I run into a problem that I can not figure out how to fix, I will just go buy a video card without the issues..... Newer cards= Working drivers.... Absolutely no comment about MAC users... Just wait for the fun with Windows 10 / Drivers / Older ( MY 4 year old video card) HW and SW.............. Frank Filippone Red735i at verizon.net
