For the older folks, it was a day for fishing and boating. For the gr-grandkids, it was swimming and rides on a Seadoo and in a canoe. For me, it was visiting and picture taking, ending with a meal from the grill. For a day that started off with rain, it was a fine day. The lake is a TVA impoundment that furnishes potable water to the two towns in the county. This tree, at the water's edge and alongside a boat ramp, has seen a rough life, but still lives. Its character caught my eye. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Tree+With+Character.tif.html My son owns a canoe. After an unsuccessful time fishing from it, he was commandeered by his grandkids who wanted to go exploring, around the bend, and up the nearest creek. I watched one group depart. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/DSCF1881+FM.tif.html Fuji X-E1 with Fujinon 27mm Pancake Comments and critiques welcomed. For those who might wonder, yes, all of the kids wore flotation gear, as did most of the adults. -- Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
