I remember flying in DC3?s as a passenger and it was a strange feeling to be sitting angled to the ground when the plane was loading. Then as it took off - gaining speed the tail would lift - you would be sitting horizontal to the ground and eventually you would gently lift off - engines roaring. A great experience. This DC-3 was hauling skydivers when it lost an engine, and sits as a monument to the past.
