Hi Jay,
Yes lucky numbers are auctioned off periodically and you are right, the 
prices are high, in the tens of thousands of dollars.
As I said earlier, in Hong Kong nothing succeeds like excess. :-)

And that Bentley has a very interesting (and probably expensive) number 
plate...
Don't know about the matte finish, though.
