Archived posting to the Leica Users Group, 2014/10/15
[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Each year since 2006, the LUG has produced a non-profit yearbook of photographs. The 2014 volume will follow the same form as previous editions. All LUG members are encouraged to participate and contributions from other photographers not currently part of the group are also welcome. Photos may be made with any brand of equipment and there will be no judging or competition involved. Previously published photos are still welcome in our book. In keeping with the yearbook theme, photos contributed should have been made during 2014. Each contributor will be asked to provide two images and a caption. *Submission Instructions:* Images must be sent to Geoff Hopkinson at hopsternew at icloud.com and may be sent during the seven weeks *from 2 November to 20 December* *2014*. Contributors are encouraged to not wait until the last minute. Every submission received in time will be acknowledged by return email, including caption confirmation. *Ideally, please send two JPEG image files attached to a single email or two if needed. Some email programs by default may shrink the images which reduces the quality. *If you are not sure there are certain to be many others on the list using the same mail program, just ask here. The suggested file size is from one megabyte and not larger than 2MB. In the body of the message, *please provide a caption with your name and a title for each photograph*. Optionally, you may like to include details of the equipment used. A single caption will appear under the right hand photograph. Here is an example. *Firstname Lastname* Opposite: 'left image title' Leica M3, Elmar 50mm f/3.5 Above: 'Cats with Sushi and Lagavulin' Fujifim XT1 *Image file guidelines: *The book pages are 8x10 inches (20x25 cm) landscape format. Each contributor is allocated two pages. Photos submitted may be in landscape or portrait format. They will not be cropped. The left hand page image can be larger and the right hand page includes space for the caption (for both photos). Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman
