Excellent image! As a life-long organist, as well as a LUGnut, a little
background: Klais is a Swiss builder. It wasn't too long ago - maybe
40-50 years - that Britain's organ world was very insular. There is a
long history of distinguished builders who have populated British
churches, town halls, and other venues with instruments which have
evolved into a distinctive national character, quite different from
Continental organs. That's been changing. Now we have European and
American builders installing important organs in the U.K., often
different in sound from the past home product. The reasons are various -
a widespread reform movement, shrinking globe, etc.

Well, here endeth the lesson, and surely more than you ever wanted to know.
