Having no experience with any other "mirror less" cameras
it works quite beautifully as a "first time" experience;
and a welcome addition to the Range Finder option.

Having spent decades with 8x10, 5x7, 4x5 (and even 11x14 and 12x20)
the decisive moment approach also "has its place" and the Range Finder does 
a superb job with that.

All things considered - the M exceeds my expectations - and opens up totally 
new possibilities that I've not begun to explore; as I'm involved in moving 
my household after nearly 30 years in the same place; a place that I drew 
the plans for and built with my own two hands along with the helping hands 
of family and friends. Also going through all the office/studio stuff for 
the second time in two years. This time the 4 enlargers will not come along 
- sadly. Getting smaller and smaller is not really very enjoyable - facing 
the facts that things which were once extremely valuable and earned their 
keep - now have no value beyond the weight of the steel - or the fact that 
the frame and glass is worth more than the worthless image within the frame. 
At times it borders on traumatic -
