[Leica] Leica Photographer John W. Alley (1932-2014) Commemorated

I attended the Kirking of the Tartan ceremony held by the St. Andrew Society 
of Milwaukee on April 6th.  The life and work of a former president of the 
society, and one of my mentors, John W. Alley (1932-2014) was commemorated 
with a display of memorabilia.  John hired me as a student worker in 1971, 
and prodded me into completing my bachelor's degree requirements, and 
graduating.  He was also responsible for organizing seminars on campus with 
photographers such as Gene Smith, Ernst Haas, Walter Heun, Alfred 
Eisenstaedt, Elliot Elisofon, Thomas Abercrombie, Ed Farber, and Robert 
Gilka.   When we worked together, John always had a black M4 + 35mm 
Summicron with him.
