I am still looking at mine and deciding between time consuming family affairs. Keep them coming. For starters they are active during the day, precisely for the reason that the other big predators are not - they get their kills stolen quite easily. I specially enjoy spending time watching cheetahs with cubs, because even when they are resting, the cubs will tend to play energetically, great to watch and photograph. Lastly, their movement is pure poetry, the most graceful and speedy creature one can imagine, incapable of an ugly move. Here are a selection of "family" shots, of cheetahs relaxed and at play, taken at various times and on different days: Family: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140309_1331.jpg.html Surprise!: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140310_2126.jpg.html Chase: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140310_2133.jpg.html Play: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140310_2245.jpg.html Turn: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140309_1408.jpg.html Tun: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140309_1409.jpg.html Moving On: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2014/Ndutu_20140310_2317.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome.
