Thank you for the succinct and very lucid explanation.

While I have the Lux 50mm ASPH, I somehow prefer the VC Nokton f1.1 despite 
it being heavier, especially in low light used wide open. Superb for 
portraits, sharp even at its widest with great colors even in difficult 
restaurant lights. 

Your preference between the f1 Noct against the Lux ASPH?
