Ming?s new near-Christmas present is an electrically heated bed drawing all 
of four watts. If you rest you hand on it and wait long enough, you can feel 
a bit of heat. Ming ignored it as long as it was on the floor?-an aristocrat 
like him just doesn?t sleep on floors unless it is on a rug in front of a 
hot-air vent. But when we put it on our bed, he became an instant occupant.
