The problem is that most of the stuff sold there borders on the illegal - the cocks are fighting cocks for the most part (cock fighting is illegal in this country on paper), a lot of the other birds sold as pets are in contravention of the Wildlife Protection Act, and I even saw Australian Cockerels available. It is also jam packed with humans - as it was the first time for me, I did some trust building with the sellers (there were streaks of covert minor hostility apparent here and there), checked the lay of the land, got a feel for the place, all with an intention to return - and took very few photographs: Piebald Cock: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/album254/Mischennai/Kozhi-20131013-045.jpg.html Pigeons: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/album254/Mischennai/Kozhi-20131013-024.jpg.html Puppy: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/album254/Mischennai/Kozhi-20131013-075.jpg.html Please see LARGE Comments and criticism, as ever, welcome Cheers Jayanand
