Thanks Ted, I am sorry to say that this is really only possible on the new M
as it has the P&S feature of an optional electronic display. The DoF is so
shallow that guesswork does not cut it

Hi john
Thank you for an interesting use of a "LEICA CAMERA & LENS!!!!" Interesting
given topics of late???????
My good fortune many years ago when the "CANADIAN DESIGNED & MANUFACTURED
NOCTILUX IN THE LEICA FACILITIES, BRACEBRIDGE, ONTARIO, CANADA" became
available. I received the first lens for sale and still have it these long
past years. Yep just as good in capturing images today??? Well maybe not
today, only because I'm not quite as assignment active as I was! :-(

I have contemplated selling it on a number of occasions, but I couldn't! As
it would be like selling one of my children! But in all these years it never
occurred to use it in a macro mode simply because as much as I have great
respect for my M Leica's! I have always cursed the inability for "macro or
close-up use!" :-(

So once again thank you for opening my tired old eyes to something new with
my all time favourite camera!!! I must give it a try with the adapter one of
these days.
cheers,
Dr. ted :-)
