Kept meaning to find the time, but... More details here: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/temporary-exhibitions/salgado-genesis/index.html and here: http://www.amazonasimages.com/grands-travaux Quite remarkable and thoroughly to be recommended to anyone who is interested in anything from landscape photography to people/ethnography. The prints are stunning (Ilford Galerie Gold) done in Paris (forget now by whom) with superb depth and gradation of tonality. Some obviously on larger format and some looking like hand-held Leica or similar. Beautiful images speaking volumes about the man and his empathy with The Earth and those of its people who inhabit the wildernesses. For those of us who can't get, or don't get, to the wildernesses (other than Brussels!) it is a real eye-opener. I know that it is not Stateside, but if you are in London and have a couple of hours (200-odd images) it is well worth it.
