In 1999, when I was promoted to Senior Photographer, I wanted to treat myself to a premium fountain pen, so I went to Daly's to buy a Duofold, but after trying that, and a Mont Blanc, I bought a Shaeffer Balance Special Edition Amber Glow. It had the smoothest and most flexible nib, and was SO pretty. I've loved it ever since. I've got to get a good picture of it. Here's the nib: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/LensFun/Balance+Nib.jpg.html> Alan Alan Magayne-Roshak, Senior Photographer University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Photo Services (Retired) UPAA POY 1978 amr3 at uwm.edu http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/ "All the technique in the world doesn't compensate for an inability to notice.
