For a very long time after switching to digital I had trouble shooting b&w. I finally worked out that I pre-visualise in b&w, and with film the next time I see the image it is still in b&w so therefore no additional pre-visualisation is needed. With digital the next time I see the image it is in colour again and I have to pre-visualise all over again without the same stimuli for my brain I had in the first instance. I have now pretty much overcome the problem but I do think it is a major one for many photographers.
