A few of my lenses can show distracting artifacts in the non-focussed areas (notice how I avoided the b-word?) in some circumstances. Knowing which lens I used for photos where these artifacts appear will allow me to choose another lens in similar conditions. Most of the the choice is easy: 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R, but sometimes the quick handling of the Novoflex-mount lenses trumps the APO-Telyt's imaging qualities.
