"The Wife" :-) While admiring the images offered quite haughtily..... "You must have a very good camera to take pictures that good?" Later as the photog was leaving he offers the wife.... "That was a very good dinner. You must have used some excellent pots for it to be that good!" ;-) Touche' :-) It's rarely the gear! It's the person holding the camera! "IF THERE'S A VERY SPECIAL EFFECT? OR IT'S AN ABSOLUTELY "SPECIAL EFFECT BECAUSE THE PHOTOG DID SOMETHING SPECIAL IN HANDLING A BEAT-UP OLD NOCTILUX OR 800MM LENS!" BUT IT'S STILL THE PHOTOG DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT COULD'VE BEEN DONE WITH ANY OLD CAMERA. IT'S THE CONTENT! THE PHOTOGS BRAIN AND IMAGINATION! WHO THE HELL CARES WHAT CAMERA? A special blurred effect or something weird in using the camera or lens? Yes that's interesting to know? MAYBE AN EFFECT WE ALL WOULD LIKE TO TRY SOME DAY........... "WE THE PHOTOG WITH WHATEVER CAMERA WE'RE USING? Well maybe these days the camera type has more meaning as so few on the this "LEICA USER LIST?" Are actuallly using Leica cameras of any make? Or it certainly looks like IT some days. OH and the photos are so exciting I near wet my pants when it's all those other fancy assed numbered cameras are used that make super exciting images compared to a Leica? Jeeeesh some day it would be neat to read every photo on screen was from using a LEICA....... FILM OR OTHERWISE!" ;-) Don't get all antsy and mind twisted now! :-) Yeah I know there'll be a few who get "pi---ed off with me!" I'm pulling yer' legs! Tripod legs that is! ;-) ;-) So get over it! Go out and prove me wrong with some smashing great.... LEICA CAMERA photography!" Oh we do have some folks who blow me away day after day with their incredible Leica use! It's a privilege and an honour to know many of them as friends! As well as some whom I've yet to shake hands and smile face to face as friends!! cheers, Dr. ted :-)
