Subject: [Leica] -4C in Boston

dear alastair,
thank you very much for your kind analysis.
i totally agree.

the reason for the blur is because i forgot to switch back to shutter
priority at 1/1000 after changing to auto to take a quick picture of a
female cardinal stuck in a van's radiator grille.

plus i was rushing to cross the street before the walk sign disappeared and
i wanted to take the picture with the cigarette to the lips.
also he was sitting with his face deliberately in the shadow of the
lightpole.
as someone who gets migraines i totally understood him not wanting to stare
straight into the sun.

i posted it to LUG even then simply because here was a person without any
legs,
sitting outside in Boston at -4C.

1. love this shot. great composition and use of the square, the shrouding
smoke really adds to the effect nicely

2. lovely scene, fine record

3. Blurred. Looks like a hasty snap, shadow breaks the lines of the image
and degrades it IMHO

4. nice, but not overly engaging. Number one is the pick of this for me
