just don't forget that the specific "telling" that set them off was the one 
about owning human beings

AND they may have seen the "telling" as inevitable, it had not happened

i understand there are many subtleties involved, but there have long been 
efforts to whitewash the event as having had nothing to do with owning other 
human beings just as they did pigs and cows

we just need to be careful about letting that attempt go unchallenged
