By all accounts, Kobayashi at Cosina holds to a deep and sincere respect for
Leica and for the Wetzlar designs.

He could make a Leica killer camera (digital or otherwise) any day he
wishes. But he respects his aethereal  master and so chooses not to show
disrespect.
