I had to change some plans but managed to get from N. Carolina near Asheville to a very small town on the Georgia border with Tennessee. Starting with Gary and Gertrude you get a since of his respect for the animals that call his farm home. Gertrude is a running duck form Indonesia that doesn't fly. He raised her from a hatchling. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/Gary+and+Gertrude.jpg.html Next is his pride and joy, Buster, a Scottish Highland bull. Something over 2000 pounds of affection and determination. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/Buster.jpg.html Gary converted a commercial chicken house into a barn and then decorated it for the open house. This is Bora under the dancing lights. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/Bora.jpg.html Considering the season you had to have Santa. Notice the smaller part of the Nutcracker collection. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/Santa+with+Nutcrackers.jpg.html If you have a farm for children then you have bunnies, http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/portrait+with+a+Hare.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/focused.jpg.html The Alpaca's were fairly friendly. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/checking+her+out.jpg.html Considering it is rural america then there will be a concoction called S'mores http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/I+want+some.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/PAW2012A/December+8/S_Mores.jpg.html Be good, be well, and treasure those moments and friends that will surprise you with the depth and meaning of their time and life. -- Don don.dory at gmail.com
