Subject: [Leica] It's 2012 Leica Yearbook Time--Please Submit Your Images!!!!


A new yearbook, our 7th, now commences.

But to summarize:
1.       Please submit images captures/taken during 2012.  Up to two per
person.

2.       You need not have used a Leica Camera or Lens to capture/take the
image.  Pick your two best from this year.

3.       Submit images to jshulman at judgecrater.com   DO NOT SEND YOUR
IMAGES TO THE LIST!

4.       Images must be at least one meg in size, .jpg format.

5.       You DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING!!!  At the end of the month,
I?ll make the yearbook publically available, as with the previous editions.

6.       Anyone can submit images.  Friends, other photographers you know,
spouses, children, pets (if they can press a capture button).
Important: I post images within 48 hours of receipt.  If you don?t hear
back from me after two days, assume that your images were not received!!!

Each yearbook has a $5 surcharge over the basic blurb.com cost, which goes
to Project H.O.M.E. in Philadelphia.  Since 2006 the LUG?s vanity project
has resulted in more than $3000 in donations to Project H.O.M.E.<<<<<<<<

NOW HOW MUCH SIMPLER CAN IT GET THAN THAT????????
Come on, get with it as my report from the "MASTER OF GREAT PHOTO BOOKS 
IS??????????

SOME HAVE SUBMITTED AND YOU WHO HAVE? A GREAT BIG THANK YOU! WITH A 
PROFUSION OF THANK YOU'S!

And yes many of you'll dash to the calendar and look at the date, time 
and??????????

"WHAT'S THAT OLD FOOL SCREAMING AT US FOR ALREADY? LOTS OF TIME TO SUBMIT 
YET!"  REALLY?????????? So you think so? WELL DO "I have news for you!"

One person puts the book together start to finish as images arrive! It 
happens to be our great book maker "JIM SHULMAN!" No Santa Helpers! HE DOES 
IT FOR FREE FOR ALL OF US! And better still? When we buy the book later a 
few dollars helps some less fortunate folks!

THINK ABOUT IT FOR A FLEETING MOMENT? 
He watches his computer screen from Dec. 1 to the last seconds of Dec. 31 
doing nothing else in his life but assembling a book of 
photographs.......... "OUR PHOTOGRAPHS AND MAKING ALL OF US LOOK LIKE COOL 
HAND SHOOTERS!":-)

Oh sure great! "BUT WE ARE BEHIND IN SUBMISSION NUMBERS COMPARED TO THE LAST 
COUPLE OF YEARS!" Look, the book certainly for the newbies has nothing to do 
with PULITZER winning photos! It however has everything to do with "LUG 
FAMILY PHOTOS!"

A couple you like: family, flowers, cats, dogs and elephants! Oh yes even 
human beings!:-) And we dare not leave out those magnificent and plain old 
fashion... "Gee that's a nice "scene" or FRIDAY flower photo! But if you 
don't submit them soonest for inclusion in time for the book, it doesn't 
matter if family, friends, uglies, the beauties, whatever? THEY WONT MAKE IT!

LIKE DON'T WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE AS IT ISN'T FAIR TO JIM!

So com'on guys and gals, particularly the new folks and beginners! "This is 
all about the "FAMILY!" Not the good, bad or ugly! A chance for you to have 
a couple of your pictures in a published book along with a bunch of other 
photographers! If you have never experienced the thrill of opening a hard 
cover book and there they are! "A couple of your photographs with your name? 
"Trust me after 63 years of published photography I still get a "chill 
because it's always so cool..... there's your name in a book!" :-) Gotta 
love it! :-) 

Good night folks and with a weekend before us? How be we all make an effort 
to send a couple of frames along to Jim Shulman! "OUR BOOK MASTER MAKER!"
