There are already some metering problems stopped down with Leica glass on the D7000, though not nearly as severe as with my previous Canon. Hi Aram, Because I tend to shoot at f5.6 of f8.0 in good light and not open and close the aperture I think the depth of field covers the focus slop (good descriptive words!) from the focus confirmation lights. I too don't use Live view very much but when I do it works very well. Also if and when I open up the lenses the screen on the D800E gives an image that I can focus pretty well. It is not the "snap" of rangefinder focusing - like with an M and wide angle lenses but it is pretty good. I had much the same experience with my D700. So I won't be changing the screen in my D800E. I haven't used the D7000 so I can't speak to that. Regarding metering problems I too had them (nonlinear response) with my Canon 5D II, but I haven't noticed them with the Nikons. Cheers Howard
