We hit the Fiesta yesterday (images will be up soonish) and today went to hike around a canyon of unique rock formations and slot canyons northwest of Albuquerque, between Cochiti reservoir and the Jemez mountains. This is the second day of shooting with my "new" Nikon D2x. The only lens I have for it right now is a 14mm but a few more are coming on Monday, thanks to a fellow LUGger. The light was very harsh today as we were out a few hours around noon. Add to that the rock is very light gray and light brown volcanic ash. Lots of super contrast stretching the ability of the D2x sensor. Here's a few shots from Tent Rocks: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0029_E.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0036_E.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0054_E.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0064_E.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0071_E.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/DSC_0078_E.jpg.html Whole album here: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/PhilForrest/NM_1207/121014/?g2_page=1 Comments and critique always appreciated!
