When I got today's digest and I looked at the number of responses titled "D800E pixel - peepers" my heart sank. I was feeling a little playful in my response to A. Lal and was afraid that I might have started some kind of storm. Having read the digest I am pleased to see that everyone behaved in a gentlemanly fashion. Everyone will make their own decision about whether the new Leica M will provide an adequate platform for orphaned R lenses but as the LUG knows I have already decided and moved on to Nikon, first the D700 and now the D800E, so that my rebayoneted R lenses live to take pictures another day! The D700 was great and the D800E seems equally competent with 3 times the pixels - for those of us who do peep and dream of making Jeff Wall size enlargements!
