Trust me it works perfectly and quickly right on the mark when using SLR cameras! Although you may require a few practice runs to hit it right on. If using a wide lens and you are about to shoot, even before you look through the lens, quickly crank the focusing ring to it's closest point of focus. When you look through the viewfinder everything should be nothing but a wild wild blur of out of focus scene. Now begin to focus from that point and the scene-situation will pop into clear focus in a far better manner than starting to focus from the infinity mark! Trust me it works magically as your eye will see the sharpness much better from closest point, than starting from infinity. I've worked in this fashion literally thousands upon thousands of times and it's never failed me. If you don't believe me.... go out and try a few times. Don't look through the viewfinder and crank it to the closest point, have that movement completed "BEFORE YOU PUT THE CAMERA TO YOUR EYE!" Then begin your focus routine and you will be quite surprized. It may take a fewpractice runs before you smooth it out. But certainly worth a try. BEFORE YOU ARE SHOOTING A PAYING ASSIGNMENT!!!
