That's a wideangle lens design, and Zeiss made 50mm Distagons for Hasselblad and Rollei medium format SLRs. I have a 50mm Distagon with floating element (the CF-FLE version) for my Hasselblad, and it is a VERY sharp lens, but it covers 6x6. For 35mm a Planar would be a better design for a 55mm lens. -- Chris Crawford Fine Art Photography Fort Wayne, Indiana 260-437-8990 http://www.chriscrawfordphoto.com My portfolio http://blog.chriscrawfordphoto.com My latest work! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christopher-Crawford/48229272798 Become a fan on Facebook On 9/8/12 2:55 AM, "Marty Deveney" <benedenia at gmail.com> wrote: >It's a ZF.2/ZE lens Mark - those are Nikon F CPU enabled (like Nikon >Ai-P) and Canon EOS mount lenses, respectively. >
