I think I see. I thought the checks for voltage and authenticity were only
made when the battery was first inserted, but now we seem to be saying that
the voltage is being checked constantly, so that if it falls below a
certain threshold the camera may turn off with a warning. The logic behind
this on Leica's part being that certain sd cards need the additional
voltage on the circuit to do proper read/writes, whereas my sd cards are
and have been just fine, third party battery or no.
A kind of background concern of mine is: what if an upgrade addresses
something I really need (not that I have a clue as to what that may be ...
everything seems fine).
