We need Susan Sontag to come back to life again and tell us about the
ramifications of the success of cameras in everyone's portable telephone
with the ability to have the shot uploaded or sent somewhere before the
exposure is even finished. I normally see myself as a far reaching wide
eye'd open minded person but the flip side of it which I see is people
leaving their cameras at home. They'll just have to build them better so
people bring them along.
What I do like about it is our culture and I'm sure others I'm less aware of
is totally cell phone worshipping and anything that has to do with it in
this case photography. So the idea of recording something as a still has
become less threatening to people as it had been.
Photographers and photography had become the very personification of evil.
Now its groovy. We're all groovy. I'm happier.
Click click.
"don't worry its just like the camera in your cell phone."
