these are shots from a live tryout / PR session where the athletes were
made available to a select group of photographers.
a screen test as it were.

screen test images always look half-baked.

but these look more interesting than the german team photos served up in
comparison.

the article makes clear these are not the official USOC publicity photos.

still haven't seen those.
don't know who they have actually hired.
