you cannot simulate color filtration without color information

you cannot filter balck&white film after development

no software can generate information the color information if it was not 
recorded (even Silver Efex)

other cameras can do it because they see color information--the MM cannot 
(as I understand it) record the colors

my understanding is that the MM sensor is color blind, it is NOT sensing 
color information and throwing it away as we do creating B&W from color 
images
