Really stupid ( and rhetorical) question.......
Why would Leica offer for sale, a Chinese battery, with Cyrillic script on
it, with a US Phone number, marked Made in EU? To boot, without a
Manufacturer's Logo somewhere.....
There are a lot of inconsistencies in this product marketing placement....
and if I were Leica's Mr. M9 ( Stefan Daniel, I think?), I would get it
straightened out....
Even Global Marketing has its limits......
Or
Marketing aimed at Russian Oligarchs?
Or
To busy offering $7K lenses and $8K bodies to bother?
Or
Americans are too stupid to figure it out / care.

It is Russian. It says "Lithium-Ion battery" and "Made in the People's
Republic of China".
