This is a Van's RV-6, a 2-place high performer, and it had stopped for fuel midway between Chicago and Florida. Here is an overall view of the RV-6: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/RV6.jpg.html This shows the interior: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/RV6+Interior.jpg.html Here, the owner is performing pre-flight checks before continuing his trip: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/RV6+Preflight+Checks.jpg.html Here is the panel. Note the push-buttons on the top of the pilots control stick: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/RV6+Panel.jpg.html I watched him depart, and it climbed like a homesick angel!
