Because those courses are subsidized by the NHS, applicants are interviewed (rather than just being admitted based on their grades). That is why we were in Cardiff a few weeks ago, and why we were in London this week--Wednesday Monica had an interview at King's College, her first choice. And after seeing the place and attending the open day with her, I don't blame here. If she gets in, I will bite the bullet and cope with the higher cost of living and studying in London.
