Thanks, a 3 stop ND usually does me but I still have 10 stop wratten if
required ;-)

Yes. You need them to shoot oil paintings and other artwork and
objects that have texture that you need to render with equal contrast
on both sides of the texture ridges. I used them often when I worked
at a museum.
