Here is a picture of Mt. Baker from Boundary Bay, which is just south of
Vancouver, and... you guessed it, has the US/Canada border running through
it.

The next 4 pictures are of birds I saw while on a walk out there today with
a longtime friend.

Quite a few Arctic or Snowy Owls are there at present, as apparently the
lemming suppy is scant in the arctic. This is what I read, anyways. Also
there are lots of other birds, including the Harrier Hawk in the last two
pictures. There were 5 or 6 other kinds of raptors around which I either
wasn't interested in (bald eagles are easier to catch in other places) or
were totally uncooperative.

There were many people on the dyke, so conditions weren't ideal, but it was
sunny and not too cold (about 10?C).

Pictures were with the Panasonic GH2 and an Apo-Telyt 280/4 with 1.4x
apo-converter and slightly cropped. The lens came up at a very good price so
I don't think I'll lose out if it doesn't suit me. The only thing is my
tripod isn't quite up to it, so in spite of having too many tripods I'll
have to do some re-arranging.
