Alas, R lenses will be difficult to use for all the usual reasons: lack of meter coupling and auto stop down operation. With a good selection of high quality CZ ZF.2 primes now available there's no reason to hold on to any but specialised R lenses. Then there is the possibility of teething troubles so it might be advisable to wait until early adopters have reported on their experiences. Canon and Sony cannot be far behind, Photokina perhaps? Interesting times. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Man" <richard at richardmanphoto.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Monday, February 06, 2012 11:34 PM Subject: [Leica] D800/E > Not a Nikon shooter, but I suspect a good number of luggers will get this > :-) > > http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/nikon-d800/nikon-d800A.HTM > > Who will be the first person to ask to put R lens on it? > > -- > // richard <http://www.richardmanphoto.com>
