Subject: [Leica] Voigtlander vs Leica

At least for film-based photoography the ZM Zeiss lenses are a great
compromise between Leica and CV. I use the 4.5/21 and 2.8/35mm Biogons and
will add the 1.5/50 Sonnar and 4/85 Tele-Tessar hopefully later this year.
Hoping for a full frame digital ZM body...or adapter for Fuji XPro ?

The CV lenses are superb value for money. I just sold the 28mm Nokton, but
only because the focal length did not agree with me. I have the 1.2/35mm
and it is great, including at f1.2--the true measure of a fast lens. Sure,
it is nicer to have the Leica lenses, but if the choice is between a
30-year old Leica and a modern CV lens, then the latter usually wins hands
down.

Cheers,
Nathan
