This Saturday I attended a 3 hour class on macro photography sponsored by Canon and the local photo shop (basically, there's only one good store in Anchorage). The main appeal for me was a chance to try out the Canon macro ring light flashes. I really liked the Canon MT-24X twin light ring flash. Might have to put this on my wish list for Christmas! :-) Here are a few photos I took at the class. Comments and criques appreciated. All taken with my Canon 5D and 100mm f2.8 macro lens (not the new L version). The photo of sea shells was taken with a light tent, the other three photos with the MT-24X flash.
