When we got to the beach I found this abandoned lounge chair in a great spot. I thought, sea turtle, good luck, lounge just waiting for me, sun starting to bust through a break in the clouds (and clouds!). THIS is going to be a LUCKY sunset. Then the sun broke through the cloud break and no-one tried to sit in the chair; luck is continuing; sailboat just passed under the clouds; this is the ONE... I looked at the clouds and thought, man if that breaks through at the very bottom before it sinks into the sea, it is just going to be glorious!! Must've spooked the sea turtle's luck away by thinking that; there was a small cloud bank way off that blocked the final minutes of the sun, so the clouds didn't light up at the end. So settled for this of the sun breaking through with the sailboat having just passed (little dot on the horizon to the left of the bright spot). At any rate, the worst sunset in Hawaii is still not too shabby :-) http://www.rgaphoto.com/2011-Hawaii/content/FourSeasonsSunset_MASTER_2011_10_Hawaii_CF003287_large.html Hope you enjoy and aren't getting too tired of these bench themed shots...
