I think it's near the Hana community center. The locals can tell you. The path is slippery and lousy, and you have to walk around the outside of a crumbling cinder cone. But when you round the bend, you will be rewarded by a view of clear and turquoise water surrounded by red cliffs and sand, with a black lava barrier protecting the beach. Breathtakingly beautiful. Try to ignore the people who take their clothes off, but really shouldn't. :-) <http://www.threebestbeaches.com/uspac/hawaii/2008/04/red-sand-beach-hana-maui.html> --Peter > Visiting Maui for a mixture of work and vacation.
