I'm a photographer not a techie! What I can assure you is? If I had an S2 and this 400mm lens I wouldn't be asking any of these questions nor having any issues with it or them? Quite simply because???????? I'd be so damn busy out shooting with it, none of the above would make any difference. It's sort of like... "What you don't know wont hurt you!" ;-) :-) :-) All you need to do is shoot a bunch of frames and if they all look cool! Man yer blasting away completely thinking photos with nothing techie bugging you or bruising your brain! ;-) "IT'S CALLED THE KISS PRINCIPAL!" Shoot it or lose it!
