There aren't a lot of conclusions to be drawn from this comparison. The sample size is small and there are numerous uncontrolled variables, but it seems that at least in some instances people can tell the difference between a photo made with a Leica lens and one made with a Canon lens, even at web resolution. I drew my conclusion from looking at hundreds of slides made with a variety of equipment, many different light sources, film types and subjects & I let my wallet do the talking for me.
