Doug Herr Hi Doug, Thanks for posting the link. Mr. Beck's photos are inspirational and certainly set a standard to aim for! When he takes a picture with the wings frozen and sharp I expect he must be using strobe flash. As you mentioned in an earlier post - even 1/3000 isn't fast enough to still the wings. I did some research earlier on the net and one of the hummingbird setups involved strobe flashes firing at 1/20000 of a second to freeze the birds' motion. Cheers Howard
